As the year comes to a close, AmeriServe’s Residential Program reflects on an incredible year of milestones, growth, and achievements. From expanding our reach to empowering clients on their journeys toward greater independence, 2024 has been a transformative year for our program.

Expanding Our Reach: Serving More Individuals

This year, AmeriServe took a significant step forward by increasing our capacity to serve up to 68 individuals. A key highlight of this expansion was the opening of our first residential home in Clarinda—our first location outside of Council Bluffs. This new home represents an exciting opportunity to bring AmeriServe’s high-quality care to a broader community while continuing to meet the needs of individuals and families seeking disability support services.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce plans for a new location in Shenandoah, which will further enhance our ability to serve individuals in that region.

Restructuring for Stronger Connections

In 2024, the Residential Program underwent a strategic restructuring of our organizational framework. By optimizing resources and improving team efficiency, we have created an environment where:

• Team Members Thrive: Streamlined processes allow staff to focus on building meaningful relationships with clients.
• Clients Feel Supported: Enhanced team dynamics ensure that clients receive the personalized care they deserve.

This restructuring has fostered deeper connections between clients and team members, strengthening the foundation of our program and improving outcomes across the board.

Empowering Clients Toward Independence

At AmeriServe, we believe in empowering individuals to become the heroes of their own stories. This year, we celebrated the success of six clients who transitioned from 24-hour residential services to lower levels of care within other AmeriServe programs, such as DayHab or Lead On.

These transitions reflect the hard work and dedication of our clients and team members, showcasing the power of personalized support plans and goal-oriented care.

Welcoming New Team Members

In 2024, we were thrilled to welcome several new CSC (Client Support Coordinator) and PC (Program Coordinator) team members to the Residential Program. Their dedication and skill have brought fresh energy and expertise to our locations, ensuring that we continue to provide the highest quality of care.

These new additions are instrumental in supporting our growing client base and upholding AmeriServe’s commitment to excellence.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we close out 2024, we eagerly anticipate the opportunities and challenges the new year will bring. Plans for the Shenandoah location signal another exciting chapter in our journey, allowing us to serve even more individuals in need of residential care.
